On the 2nd of September, Blessed Mother Theresa of Calcutta Parish in Dzalal-abad, welcomed two volunteers from Poland. Two ladies are participants of the European Voluntary Service (EVS) program, sponsored by European Commission.
The first of the volunteers-Maria Kraus, was born in Jelenia Gora but lives in Cracow. She has recently finished Pedagogics at Wyższa Szkoła Filozoficzno-Pedagogiczna Ignatianum and she has experience working with children. Our second volunteer- Karolina Rasińska is from Warsaw and finished International Business Management at Warsaw University, and has experience working in developing countries.
Both ladies will be teaching English in Dzalal-abad and Osh. Lessons will be free of charge and anyone, regardless of their age or religion, is welcome to participate in them. Volunteers will be also involved in the activities already carried out by our Parish, as well as implementing their own educational and development programs in Kyrgyzstan.
Volunteers will be writing on our website about their activities and the activities of the Catholic Church in Kyrgyzstan. They are full of enthusiasm and eager to start working, so we are hoping that our cooperation will bring new ideas and break new ground to our current projects. We also believe that, during their stay, volunteers will gain new experience and knowledge.
